September 21, Ural State University of Economics held a unique event dedicated to the anniversary of the University and the day of HR-Manager - "Graduate Party - 2017". The graduates of previous years, students, teachers and members of the USUE Alumni Association attended the meeting.

September 21, Ural State University of Economics opened the Students' Club for People with Disabilities "We Are Together". The opening of the club took place within the framework of a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. September 20, Roy Damary, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Managing Director of “Technomic Consultants SA” and the head of Business Studies at Robert Kennedy College (Zurich, Switzerland) delivered a lecture at Ural State University of Economics. The organizers of the lecture were the Department of Accounting and Auditing and the International Cooperation Office.

September 21, the Park Zelenaia Roshcha hosted the Spartakiad of the Leninsky district. Students of Yekaterinburg universities competed in running, football and other sports. September 18, Ural State University of Economics hosted a meeting of the Political Council of the Sverdlovsk regional branch of the All-Russian political party United Russia. Party members summed up the 2017 election campaign.

September 15, the meeting of the Eurasian Research Institute of Man (ENIICH – Russian abbreviation) on the topic "History in the Subjunctive Mood: a Mind Game or a Method Of Investigation?" was held at Ural State University of Economics.

In Yekaterinburg, a four-thousand parade of first-year students took place. All-Russian procession was supported by students of 18 universities of the city. A grandiose Matriculation ceremony united the whole country. Thirty nine cities participated in a teleconference with Yekaterinburg.

Ural State University of Economics and Ural State Medical University signed an agreement on cooperation. The parties agreed to work together in the field of education and science, in areas of mutual interest in solving urgent problems of innovative development and competitiveness among the leading educational institutions.

September 14, Ural State University of Economics hosted the first event dedicated to its 50th anniversary. It is symbolic that the first greetings were received by University veterans because it was they who were directly involved in the establishing and developing of the financial school of the Urals.

Ural State University of Economics signed an agreement with the Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund of the Sverdlovsk region (TCMIF). It was signed by the USUE Rector Yakov Silin and director of the Fund Valery Shelyakin.

The chair of the USUE Council of Young Scientists Olga Ergunova and acting President of the Regional Association of Small-Scale and Medium Business Employers of the Sverdlovsk region Irina Romanova signed an agreement on the general principles of cooperation of youth scientific associations and associations of small and medium-sized businesses.

September 13, Yakov Silin, Rector of Ural State University of Economics, met with USUE young scientists. From 7 through 10 September, in Moscow ASSC of Russia held the All-Russian club tournament. From Ural State University of Economics, eight students took part, members of Student Sports Club "SYNH": Kirill Mokeev Anastasia Krasnoselova Sergei Savva, Denis Koreshkov, Victoria Rubezhanskaya, Oksana Koptelova, Ivan Molotkov, and Nadezhda Novikova.

Ural State University of Economics and the Foundation for the Development of Qualifications and Competencies in the Urals region today signed an agreement on cooperation. The signatures were put by the Rector Yakov Silin and the president of the Foundation, a USUE graduate Alexey Lebedev.

The members of the USUE search group "Honor and Memory" returned from France. After the "Memory Vigil" in Kursk, the students took part in the first international search expedition in the footsteps of the First World War.

The academic year is breaking into the life of the matriculated students of USUE. The first meetings of freshers with their Institutes took place in the University. These students have already chosen their future profession and purposefully follow their dream. However, the beginning of the academic year is important not only for them. This time is especially important for future school leavers.

Ural State University of Economics is completing the enrollment campaign - 2017. About 50 thousand applications have been submitted for all forms and areas of training.

August 24, the academy "I Am a Mentor" got off the ground at USUE. The next three days a hundred participants of the project will improve their team building skills and will pass several educational modules.

The first Open Chess Festival in the Sverdlovsk region — «Ural Chess Festival-2017» for prizes of «SKB-Kontur» has started at USUE. In five tournaments, more than 500 people will compete. The event is planned to become annual.
