July 12, at the International Trade Fair "INNOPROM - 2017" at the booth of the Sverdlovsk region Government there was held a panel discussion "Recycling of Processed Raw Materials as an Efficient Resource Use. Logistics and Waste Disposal".
The moderators of the event were the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Sverdlovsk region Alexei Kuznetsov and USUE Professor, Chair of the Public Council under the regional Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology Galina Pakhalchak.
The issue of waste processing for our region is extremely important: out of 30 billion tons of waste accumulated in Russia, more than nine are located in the Sverdlovsk region. At the same time, a significant part of waste can be considered as raw material for recycling. There are effective technologies for processing industrial and municipal waste, there is an advanced foreign and domestic experience, and there are mechanisms that combine the efforts of government authorities and business to reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment and health of citizens. It was these issues that became the subject matter at the discussion platform.
Among the speakers were the Secretary General of the Chinese Union of Eurasian cooperation "Torch" Shaonan Guan (China), a member of the youth section of the Consortium "Green Academy" A. Alinov (Kazakhstan), head of the Department of Commercialization and Introduction of Scientific Developments and Technologies at Palacky University Mikhail Kosovsky (Czech Republic). Director of Middle Ural copper-smelting plant Bagir Abdulazizov voiced challenges and achievements in the field of industrial waste processing. The chairman of "Teplaya Rossia" (Moscow) Aleksandr Magit told about new efficient Russian technologies of waste processing of timber and woodworking industry.
In the closing speech, the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Sverdlovsk region Aleksey Kuznetsov expressed an opinion that the Sverdlovsk region should and could become a platform for the introduction of advanced technologies for recycling of production and consumer waste.
