Rector of Ural State University of Economics Yakov Silin visited the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Russian Federation.
During the business meeting, the rector of Ural State University of Economics and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Russian Federation Atanas Krastin discussed cooperation problems in the field of education.
First of all, meeting was about the possibility of interaction between USUE and Bulgarian universities within related areas of training.
Since Bulgaria is a country with a well-developed tourism industry, principal concern was given to training of specialists in the field of tourism, hotel management, service and food technology. There is an experience of cooperation with Bulgarian universities: University of Management in Varna - a long-time partner of USUE. Cooperation, which was discussed by Atanas Krastin and Yakov Silin, includes exchange of academic staff, exchange of students, graduate students, participation in scientific events and joint scientific publications.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Russian Federation was especially interested in Eurasian Economic Forum of Youth, which has been hosting by USUE for ten years. The participation of students and experts from Bulgarian universities opens up prospects for organizing international projects for both foreign and Russian students.
Taking into account common centuries-old history of Bulgaria and Russia, their vicinity and shared future, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Atanas Krastin noted the importance of developing youth relations between the two countries. The ambassador also confirmed his willingness to visit Ural State University of Economics and address students during his next visit to Еkaterinburg.
