One of the key lectures of the Finanncial Congress at the Ural State University of Economics was the open lecture by Anna Zelentsova, Strategic Coordinator of the Russian Ministry of Finance Project ?"Assistance in increasing the financial literacy level among population and financial education development in the Russian Federation”. The lecture's topic was "Financial literacy is a vital skill in 21st century".
The project is implemented by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and The World Bank in cooperation with the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor), the Central Bank, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, other state departments and organizations.
The goal of the project is to increase the financial literacy of Russian citizens, to promote the formation of reasonable financial behavior, decisions and attitude to personal finances among the population, and to create more effecient protection of their interests as consumers of financial services.
